After returning to her hideout, Velka appeared before the grunts still in her Shinjou form. Footage of Marine pleasuring the grunts appeared in the air. The men were wildly aroused, breathing heavily while their crotches grew hard.
“We are making good progress,” said Velka.
“Superb progress even,” replied the grunts.
“It looks like not even Mizuno Rena suspects kind and
obedient Shinjou Saya could be me, especially after rescuing her from Hypnos.
Well, she was suspicious at first, but fooling her magic detection was simple
enough. Heh heh. But she doesn’t even try that anymore. The naïve heroine isn’t
as coldhearted as she likes to pretend. So what do you think? Cute, aren’t I?”
Still disguised as Shinjou, she lifted her skirt to flash
her thighs. She laughed as she transformed into her usual warrior form in the
toxic costume.
“The hypnosis is finally taking effect. She was a tough nut
to crack, but I suppose that’s what you get with an Altair. This just leaves
Rose.”
Velka sighed at this success.
She had risen to the position of commander at a young age and Altair Rose, aka Mizuno Rena, had been her greatest concern when she had decided to defeat the heroines with the hypnotic attacks she specialized in.
She did need to get the key from those two, but she was also
obsessed with those two warriors for repeatedly repelling her and wounding her
pride. The red one in particular caused her to burn with rage.
So instead of making the girl submit through simple force,
she would humiliate her far more before stealing the key away. That was why
Velka had infiltrated enemy territory and applied hypnosis to her nemeses.
Every Hypnos technique was far greater than the equivalent
on earth. Their hypnosis was no different. Unlike earth hypnosis, the Hypnos
variety could make people do things they did not want to do. It worked so well
it had become a primary strategy used by their spies in the battle against the
Dimensional Alliance. But no matter how many times Velka tried it on Mizuno
Rena, the girl’s mind would not open to her and the technique failed.
The tea and aroma she had used on Karin relaxed the mind to
make hypnosis easier. The tea used Hypnos magic to make any earth human – even
one with the power of light – feel relaxed and open their mind. But Rena hadn’t
just resisted it. She had never once relaxed in front of Velka in her Shinjou
form. Velka had been forced to focus on the younger sister and worked on
Karin’s hypnosis first.
While Rena never let her guard down because she was worried
about her sister and about their secret getting out, Karin was innocent and
unsuspecting. Nevertheless, the girl had mastered her Altair power and had
shown no sign of being hypnotized at first. But Velka had finally managed to
get it to work a few weeks earlier. At first, she had only been able to get
Karin to give the tea to Rena, but the hypnosis had shown some bare minimum of
effect today and a false duty had been planted in Marine’s mind.
After thinking she had lost, Marine’s mind had been laid
bare, allowing Velka to plant an even mor powerful hypnosis. Karin would now
hypnotize Rena and give her the same humiliating duty.
“But won’t it take time for Marine to ensnare Rose? Marine
resisted a lot herself, so what if Alliance reinforcements arrive first?” asked
one of the grunts.
The others expressed their agreement with worried looks, but
Velka maintained her confident smile.
“I have a hunch that Rena is – hee hee – very fragile indeed
once you get past her outer shell.”
A red aura rose from Rena while she leaned back in the sofa.
Her long hair floated up and wavered like she was underwater.
She was engaging in her usual after-dinner training in the
Mizuno living room. She drew out her Altair power and meditated to grow stronger.
She would focus her mind, access the red flame within her, and surround herself
with that energy. In the half a year since she received her Altair power, she
had grown strong enough to use some of that power without transforming.
“Here, Onee-chan. I made you some tea.”
Hearing Karin’s voice, Rena opened her eyes and smiled. She
thanked her sister, accepted the cup, and took a sip of the faintly-steaming
light purple tea.
“This is Shinjou-sensei’s tea, isn’t it?”
She knew that from the moment she got a whiff of it…no, from the moment Karin
had brought it to her. Karin had been making her this tea for several days now.
She was used to the flavor now, but she still wasn’t tired of it. She emptied
her cup in no time and held it out, asking Karin for more.
Rena was conflicted when Karin returned with more tea. She
had suspected from the beginning that Shinjou, the teacher who was so kind to
Karin, was in fact a Hypnos spy.
Hypnos knew who they were. They had scientific powers far
beyond earth’s and they could wield seemingly magical powers using their
energy, so they would have easily discovered what school Rena and Karin
attended. She had considered going into hiding with Karin, but then Hypnos
might destroy the city as payback. So Rena hadn’t been able to leave their
current life.
Instead, she had poured all of her energy into her training
and learned to draw out her simpler powers without transforming. She considered
it likely Hypnos had someone hidden nearby, so she would periodically send out
probing waves to search for a Hypnos presence. True to her suspicions, she had
found grunts disguised as random people around the city, so she had transformed
into Rose and dealt with them.
Her Altair eyes had the ability to view people’s mental
state as a color, but she had avoided actively using that power. She had used
it once when transformed as Rose inside a Hypnos field, but the color of the
captured men had been just as sexual as the Hypnos grunts. And their dirty
thoughts had been directed at Rose and Marine. She understood the Hypnos field
amplified people’s lust, but she had still burned with embarrassment and
decided only to use the probing technique instead.
She had of course probed Shinjou that way. She didn’t want
to suspect Shinjou and it had saddened her to suspect someone she knew
personally instead of just random people, but she had hardened her heart and
done it anyway to protect her sister and the earth. She had been especially
thorough with Shinjou since the women had only come to the school this year,
had become the advisor for their swim team, and had even approached Rena and
Karin personally.
But all the probes came back clean. She had even tried
transforming into Rose to draw on her full power, but the result was the same. Shinjou
was nothing more than a kind and gentle woman who was popular with the
students. After that, even Rena had decided Shinjou was not a Hypnos spy and
chosen to trust her.
She had felt guilty doing it behind Karin’s back, but she
had even investigated the tea and found it contained nothing harmful. The tea
was not a threat. In fact, drinking it filled her with a pleasant warmth and
helped her relax more than other teas. She had come to enjoy it quite a bit
recently.
She had trouble relaxing while drinking it out of the house,
but once she was back home with Karin, she found it soothing to drink it at
mealtimes or teatime. Outside, she was always tense, like she might have to
fight a battle at any moment. Shinjou had invited her to drink the tea with her
like Karin did. The tea she had had then would have been the same as this, but
the relaxing effect was so much greater when she drank it in the warm lights of
home.
“Here you go. You’re incredible, Onee-chan. I wish I could
use my power that well.”
Karin poured herself a cup of tea as well and sat next to
Rena with a self-deprecating smile.
“You’ll get there. You have to do things at your own pace.
Besides, I wouldn’t be much of a big sister if I let you surpass me, would I?
So let me have this.” Rena rubbed Karin’s head.
“But I want to protect you too. I’ll train just as much as
you and surpass you.”
Karin took a sip of her tea. “Hot!” She grimaced with her
cute tongue showing and Rena stared at her.
Rena thought Karin was cute as a button. She knew she
couldn’t let her weakness show in front of that brave and hardworking little
sister. She swore to herself she would always be strong for her. She
appreciated Karin’s desire to protect her, but she was not going to give up her
position as the big sister who protected her little sister.
Rena finished her second cup of tea. The ticking of the
clock sounded awfully loud. She stood up to go get her own refill, but Karin
stopped her, took the cup, and stood up. She held a bag under her arm and came
back with more tea.
“We will defeat Hypnos one day,” said Rena, looking Karin in
the eye while accepting the cup.
“Of course,” firmly replied Karin.
After reconfirming her determination and confidence, Rena
began to drink the tea. She tilted the cup back to let the hot, light purple
tea flow down her throat. She felt warm from the top of her head to her
pantyhosed toes and felt so comfortable she almost thought she was floating up
from the sofa.
She grew suddenly curious how many cups she had had now.
“Oh, right. Sensei gave me some of her special aroma oil
today. Have you smelled it before?”
Her curiosity was cut off by Karin’s question.
“Yes. Just once. It was very nice.”
“Right? So I thought I would open it up here.”
Karin smiled innocently and pulled a small glass container
from the bag she had carried over.
“That sounds lovely.”
“Right, right? It makes me feel all floaty. It’s really
weird.”
Karin opened the container’s lid and a sweet aroma
immediately filled the living room.
“Ahh…that is nice.”
Rena breathed in deep and then let it out as a relaxed sigh.
Just like the tea, it was so much more relaxing at home. She could truly enjoy
the aroma while alone with the sister she trusted implicitly. She filled her
lungs with the pleasant scent.
“Here, Onee-chan. More tea.”
Rena took the cup Karin passed her and sank back into the
sofa. The scents of the tea and oil mixed together and she sighed like a
contented cat.
The ticking of the clock seemed to speed up and slow down at
random. It was such a strange feeling. But with Karin by her side, it wasn’t a
bad feeling. She smiled, raised the cup to her mouth, and drank down its
contents.
(Huh? I…feel…slee…py…)
Drowsiness rapidly fell upon her. She wondered if that was
her daily stresses and worries unwinding. A sweet scent hung around her. The
clever girl tried to recall what that aroma was, but the bookcase of her
memories was uncharacteristically cluttered and she couldn’t find the memory
she was looking for.
Her eyelids grew heavy. She couldn’t open her eyes. …No, her
eyes were open, but her vision was blurry. Were her eyes unfocused? No, they
were focused. It was her brain that wasn’t interpreting the image correctly.
She saw movement out of the corner of her eye.
It was Karin. Her beloved sister stood up and leaned over
her. She couldn’t see the girl’s face with the light shining down from behind
her head.
“Uhh…Karin?”
She was ready to just go to sleep. Karin was with her, so it would be fine. She
could relax and go to sleep.
Darkness enveloped her mind.
“Onee-chan. Will you believe everything I’m about to tell
you? Because it’s all true.”
Rena nodded.
“Of course. I can trust…anything…you tell me.”
“Good. Then I’ll tell you.”
“I’m glad. I know you…will tell me…the truth.”
“It’s true. She really does seem delighted. And I’m happy
too.”
Karin whispered sweetly, which was like the most pleasant
lullaby imaginable for Rena.
As her consciousness faded, Rena identified the aroma.
(This is a rose aroma… Yes, a rose colored…a purple so dark
it’s nearly black…)
All light finally vanished from her eyes and Karin whispered
in her ear with equally empty eyes.
“Nh…h-huh? Karin? Eh? Marine?”
“Hweh? Onee- huh? Rose?”
A sparrow was chirping out the window. When Rena woke up, she viewed her
surroundings and realized that she was in her bedroom, that she and Karin were
holding each other close in the bed, and that they were transformed. Their
proximity during a summer night had left them both sweaty.
“Why are we transformed?”
Karin – Marine – looked puzzled and tilted her head. Rena –
Rose – frowned at a throb of pain running through her brain. She suddenly
recalled what had happened.
“We were training yesterday and we were just so tired…I
think?”
“Was that it? Oh, yeah, it was. But if we were transformed
this whole time, wouldn’t our energy…?”
“What about our energy?”
“It would…what was I thinking? Never mind. It’s nothing.”
The heroine sisters shook their woozy heads and got out of
bed. Their boots sank into the carpet. Rose was already taller than Marine, but
the high heels and low heels expanded that gap even more. Yet there wasn’t much
difference in the size of their curves.
Their curvy bodies wobbled a bit as they exchanged a glance.
Rose realized her cheeks felt hot and she saw Marine’s cheeks were flushed
pink.
She nearly commented that looking at Marine’s face made her
heart pound, but she swallowed the words.
“My heart is really pounding,” said Marine. Rose’s shoulders
jumped, but she masked it with a shrug.
“Is it?” she said instead. “Also…is my costume incomplete?”
Something felt off about her transformation suit. The odd feeling came from
near her thighs and she rubbed them together restlessly. She noticed Marine frowning
uncomfortably, pressing her lips together, and wiggling her hips a little.
“We need to get ready for school,” said Rose, brushing aside
the awkward feeling.
“Oh, you’re right,” replied Marine. Red and blue lights
surrounded the two of them.
They dispelled their transformations and then left the room.
“I would love more of that tea. I really helped me relax,”
said Rena with a smile.
“I can make more now,” answered Karin.
The house was already full of the sweet aroma oil’s scent.
Neither of them noticed anything wrong.
After drinking plenty of tea, they left their home and
joined the other students on the way to school like they always did. But after
entering the main gate, they left the group continuing to the main entrance and
walked to the counselor’s office near the pool.
The room wasn’t locked and Shinjou was waiting inside.
“Good morning, Shinjou-sensei,” said Karin.
“Sorry, Sensei. Karin insisted on seeing you as soon as we
arrived.” Rena bowed.
“Good morning. I don’t mind, so please come in.” Shinjou
greeted them with her usual gentle smile.
The sisters vanished into the counselor’s office with all
the light vanished from their eyes. The door shut behind them.
As their consciousness faded, Rena and Karin heard a soft
and gentle voice as if from a vast distance.
“Hee hee. I have some new hypnotic suggestions for you.”
